Sophie Turner is a renowned British actress, primarily known for her pivotal role as Sansa Stark in HBO's highly acclaimed series Game of Thrones, which aired from 2011 to 2019. Her role as the legendary Stark daughter earned her immense praise and several award nominations. In addition to her television success, she has appeared in several films, such as Barely Lethal (2014), in which she played Heather, and Time Freak (2018), where she played Debbie. In addition, she gained recognition in the X-Men film franchise, playing Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019).

Sophie developed a love for acting early in her life, participating in local theater productions during her time at King's High School in Warwick. Additionally, she was associated with the Playbox Theater Company, which contributed to enhancing her acting abilities. Nevertheless, in September 2023, the couple announced their separation. Before she got involved with Joe Jonas, she had a brief relationship with The Vamps' guitarist James McVey.
